Founded in 1995
Loretta Hayward established Loretta Hayward Attorneys in November 1995. The firm still serves the community of Stellenbosch and clients from all over South Africa, Namibia, England, Germany, Ireland and France.
In 2001, Vera Hayward joined the firm. After the death of Loretta Hayward in 2005, Vera took over the firm, but in January 2008, she sold the firm to Louréz Swart, who incorporated it into her existing firm, founded in May 1996. The two practices are currently operating under one umbrella as Loretta Hayward Attorneys.
Louréz Swart was admitted as an attorney in November 1994 and started to practise for her own account in May 1996, as stated above. She studied at the University of Port Elizabeth, now known as the Nelson Mandela University, and obtained the B.Juris and LL.B. degrees.
