If I have a Will, is my job done?

No! A hundred times, no!

It is vital to revise your existing Will, not only when significant events, such as marriage or the birth of children, take place in your life, but also when your assets and/or debts start to accumulate. Surely it will be your wish that your loved ones are adequately protected and cared for, after you are gone. An outdated Will can have unintended consequences, such as an unnamed spouse or child not benefiting at all or unbequeathed assets becoming the property of relatives you would not have wanted to benefit.

The importance of updating your Will, cannot be stressed enough! It is, after all, about ensuring that your assets end up in the hands of the people you choose and not the people chosen on your behalf, by the laws of our land.

Remember, the sooner, the better as you never know when death will come knocking.
